Interactive Tracks

These are a new element to ASCENT.   These are interactive activities where campers sign up and participate.  Tracks, unlike workshops, are designed to go outside the classroom setting.  The goal is to see how the Kingdom of God connects to everyday hobbies and interests.  When you register for ASCENT, you will be given the opportunity to choose one option from the tracks listed. Tracks are subject to change. You will not necessarily be locked into that track, but some have limited space and will be granted on a first-come, first-serve basis with priority to those who are able to sign up first online.

MONDAY FROM 2:00 - 4:00 PM (Meet in at the main hall in ASPEN)

Rock Stacking

Join our crew to scavenge the land for the best rocks to see how high we can stack and build our rock towers. We will process through the unique elements of the art of rock building. You will be pleasantly surprised by what you can learn about the Kingdom of God through this activity.

Fishing (possible extra fee)

Several of Jesus’ disciples were fishermen, do you consider yourself one?  On this track, you will go offsite to a relaxing location where you can fish and meditate in peace.  Bring your own fishing gear or have basic gear provided.  (Extra cost might be required for a license).

Video Games

Do video games and faith even go together?  Find out when you join us on this track to see how God is changing the world through video games.  And of course, we will be playing some Super Smash Bros, Mario Kart, Clash Royal and more!

One on one, five on five, or a simple game of knockout this track is for people who love God and basketball.  We will see how we can use our passions for the glory of God.  All skills are welcome!

Disc Golf

Looking for that elusive ace?  Maybe you want to try out that new disc with just the right amount of fade.  Well grab your bag and sign up for this track.  We will go through the 18-hole course across the whole camp, discussing, and praying between holes.

Just a simple good old fashion kickball game.  We will split up into two teams with basic rules and play a game we probably haven’t done since we were in grade school.  Then we go a surprise half-time devotional that you won’t want to miss.  No skill is required.
