Engaging our culture with the Power of the Kingdom.
Led by Serena Hanson from Ridgepoin Church
Description: Depression, Anxiety, and other mental health diagnoses are on the rise, especially among teens. In this workshop, we'll discuss what these diagnoses are and we'll learn what's happening in the body and mind of someone who struggles with them. We'll consider how God created our bodies to manage stress, including these sometimes overwhelming emotions, and why things sometimes feel out of whack. We'll learn some practical tips we can use to help and some tips for how to ask for professional help and when to know if that is our next best step.

This word "discipleship" can often be lost in conversation and the hustle of our day-to-day lives. But does it have to be? This workshop will explore why the Great Commission to make disciples still matters, and how Jesus calls his followers to live with gospel intentionality in their daily lives. Rather than waiting for the next youth group meeting, camp high, or mission trip to practice discipleship, you might be surprised by the simple opportunities and people God has placed right in front of you. Come for an interactive discussion of how even the normal, mundane, everyday parts of life are God's plan for changing the world!

There's just nothing like knowing how to express the difference God is making in your life. It's an encouragement to you, but can also be vital for those around you who don't know anything about Jesus. Come learn how to speak your story.

In John 14:12 Jesus said that through faith in him ANYONE can do the things he did. While that in and of itself is amazing, he didn’t stop there. He said they could actually do GREATER THINGS! The term “anyone” is extraordinary. Jesus decentralized leadership and ministry in unheard of ways. This means that regardless of age, gender, economic or social status, education, etc., those who have faith in Jesus are central to what he is doing. This workshop will focus on two tools that anyone can use, under the direction of the Holy Spirit, to see the greater things of God come to the people and places around them. These two tools are being used right now to spark the expansion of God’s kingdom and disciple multiplying movements.

Have you ever been through something difficult or traumatic and wondered, "God, where were You?". This question seems more and more common as we see the craziness of this world, the horrible things people do to each other, the injustices, the tragedies... Where were You? As we have spent this year looking at the book of Daniel there is a specific part of the story that really speaks to this question. And the answer is one that dramatically changed the way I look at suffering in this world. It also changed the way I look at prayer. It was prayer that set the stage and affected all that occurred throughout the story. Let's explore this together, and perhaps find a little healing as well.
